Patrice Carteron, born on July 30, 1970, is a former French professional football player turned coach. Currently, he serves as the head coach of Qatar Stars League club Umm Salal. Carteron has an extensive coaching career, starting with managerial roles at AS Cannes and Dijon FCO, where he earned promotion to Ligue 1. He later coached the Mali national team, achieving a FIFA rank as high as 21 and a third-place finish in the African Cup of Nations.

Carteron then took charge of TP Mazembe, winning two league titles and an African Champions League title. After coaching Wadi Degla SC and Al-Nassr, he joined Phoenix Rising in the United Soccer League. Carteron had stints with Al Ahly, Raja CA, and Zamalek in Egypt, winning several trophies, including the CAF Super Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup. He briefly returned to Al-Taawoun in Saudi Arabia before rejoining Zamalek in 2021, securing their 13th league title.

In March 2022, Carteron signed with Al-Ettifaq until the end of the 2021–22 season but mutually terminated the contract in February 2023. On June 16, 2023, he became the head coach of Umm Salal in the Qatar Stars League.
